Experience & Background...
Even in 1990, Lindsay sensed that a breakthrough in dispute resolution had arrived in the United Kingdom. He was one of the first to take mediation training in 1992, and undertook one of the first construction mediations organised here in the UK. Following the successful conclusion of that mediation one of the participants commented in writing that "the process was very successful and I have no doubt that it was due to the skills of the mediator".
Lindsay has now undertaken a considerable number of mediations since 1992 mainly in property and construction. From time to time, he has assisted in the training of new mediators. He is an author of papers on Alternative Dispute Resolution, a speaker at conferences and at numerous presentations carried out for professional bodies and firms of solicitors.
Aside from mediation, Lindsay has taken several courses in information technology and this has enabled him to utilize the benefits of this technology to maximum advantage. He still finds time to play golf, is a past captain of Copt Heath Golf Club, and in addition is a Past President of Knowle & Dorridge Rotary Club. He is an enthusiastic public speaker and is the immediate Past-President of the South Midlands Area of the Association of Speakers Clubs. Lindsay is also a Trustee and Treasurer of the Solihull Community Foundation.
